The Centre for Workforce & Leadership Capability is offering the Aspiring Leaders programme to our Maaori, Pacific and Asian staff members.  The purpose of this programme is to develop more Maori, Pacific and Asian employees to advance into leadership or management roles at CMDHB.  Our vision at CMDHB is to employ a workforce that reflects the community we serve.  This programme is aimed at increasing our Maaori, Pacific and Asian health leaders.

Throughout the programme, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore and develop your leadership style

  • Reflect on your work environment and how you can use leadership and management skills to influence  situations

  • Develop essential thinking and problem solving skills

  • Build a toolkit of skills to be an effective leader/manager

  • Create an individual action plan for future development.

You will also have an opportunity to network with current and future leaders from across CMDHB in an informal setting.

We are proud members of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Trust, which supports us in our efforts to see more diversity reflected in all levels of leadership and management across CMDHB.
